I can't believe it's a week since I last blogged! It shows either how busy life has been, or how lazy I am. I suspect the latter. Youngest daughter rushed over from Belgium on Friday, appearing on the doorstep with three friends during the evening. Her furniture has been in store over here, and this... My son sent me this, and I thought of you! A revelation with an Incredibly Big Message (IBM): Well, you might have thought that you knew how the Internet started, but here's the TRUE story.... In ancient Israel, it came to pass that a trader by the name of Abraham Com did take unto himself a young... Sign in to see full entry.
What have I done this week? I wish I could remember! The week has flown past and I have nothing to show for it - apart from fifteen pounds of marmalade. I did do that, completed it this morning. What else? A couple of rounds of golf (one and a half, actually. Yesterday's round was so slow, my... Sign in to see full entry.
Ed and I had a theatre outing this week. Months ago in a moment of madness, I booked tickets for "Hairspray", a musical which had apparently had rave reviews, but as the time drew nearer, I grew increasingly anxious. I had this horrible feeling that it would be very loud and something like a modern... Sign in to see full entry.

It started to snow just as I put my clubs in the car which I feared might be a sign telling me not to be such a fool, but did I listen? Of course not! Ed and I don't have the special wheels now required for winter golf,... Sign in to see full entry.
My mother was a great diarist. She religiously wrote in her diary every day from around 1968, when my parents moved to Norfolk, until 2005, when she died. There are many volumes, all of which my niece (mother's American granddaughter) liberated on Mother's death. I was glad they weren't just thrown... Sign in to see full entry.
We had such a good time in Cornwall, with most of the extended family able to be there, but I fear it might be the last of such occasions. Now the grandchildren are all growing up, they are spreading out in all directions and it will soon be impossible to gather them all together, even if they... Sign in to see full entry.
I had a message from Facebook this morning, telling me that they'd noticed unusual activity on my account - it had been accessed from Dallas. They advised me to change my password, which I have done immediately. Remembering all these passwords is well nigh impossible, so naturally I do what everyone... Sign in to see full entry.
I think I'm close to sussing it at last - my new blog. Yes, I do have to pay for it (and it isn't hosted by Blogit so there's no cashback, worse luck) but I do get the services of my own personal blog coach. So far I've drawn on his services quite a lot - since I really don't know what I'm doing -... Sign in to see full entry.
