That sounds like a great week.  I think those things which turn out well in spite of our fears are the greatest of treasures

I love hearing about your "good weeks," Rocking!  Hairspray is one of my favorite musicals, though I must say that I loved Jesus Christ Superstar, too, when I was a kid; I still have the album.  As a Jewish girl who didn't know much about other religions, it provided me with lots of background and information about Christianity.....Mal

I loved that Hairspray --- fun wasn't it.  The movie was 'cute' as well.  I'm glad you all had some 'fun' and respite and well, all around a GOOD time.  YAY~  Elyse

I remember when the movie came out a few years back. John Travolta was dressed in drag.

I have to put that musical on my must do list....you and I...the same era I
believe and celebrating the birthday is fun..I mean they come around anyway so one might just as well enjoy one's self.

What fun for you.  I haven't seen in in the theater, but I saw both the old movie and the newer one with John Travolta in it.  It definitely makes one want to get up and move.

Sounds great!
I haven't seen it but would have gone with trepidation as you did too...I love the Broadway shows but didn't think I'd like that one...after reading your review...I probably would!

Hairspray! funny!
I laughed at hairspray. So sad about Patrick Swayze no longer being around to delight us as he did in this movie. Ghost, which he starred in is one of my favorites!
