Still trying to make sense of an insane situation, without success!
I think that the timing of the Israeli retaliation, in response to the Hamas rocket launches, was deliberately chosen to take place during the brief window of opportunity, that opened when the incoming president (Obama) is still impotent, not yet in power, and the discredited, indeed much-reviled, current one, (Butch) who is not inclined to object and is equally impotent, regardless. If the Israelis are as shrewd as they are cracked up to be, I bet that they will have ended their offensive... Sign in to see full entry.
