Re: Praying for peace is more logical than FIGHTING for peace!
Aw shucks Sam,
Now you are making me blush! Between you and Benhiza and Spitfire, I am gonna have to go out and find a bigger hat. Maybe I should have accepted the new administration's offer to make me the official Sage of State. If only Washington wasn't so hot during the summer! I imagine that there are times when things get pretty hot there, in the winter, too! Snicker, giggle!

Guy,
Very good post. I grew up Jewish (reformed; kind of meaning the opposite of Orthodox) and I've heard all the b.s. I'm not religious and my immediate family isn't either but if I'm asked, I do say I'm Jewish and a Trad Witch. People just seem to have the need to blame anyone and everyone else for their dissatisfaction or personal unhappiness on others. It's sad. I'm not rich and my family may have been comfortable, we were far from being wealthy even with college educations. One more note...one of my very close friends is Palastinian, grew up in Jeruselom and was shot at by Jews a few times. We are quite close friends and we hold nothing political against each other. THAT is the way it should be.

NOPE, I know some who would rather die first, rather than use that organ.
This conflict has been endless since 1948 and it isn't going to go anywhere but down its continuing path to hell as far as I can tell.
Nothing will change, ever, as far as I can see into the future. It discourages me to say so, but, I think that I 'm right here.
The People of the Book (Jews, Christians and Muslims) cannot be anything but horrendous to each other forever and ever, amen.
It makes me want to IMAGINE John Lennon's world. And then I think, good luck with that fantasy, too.

Re: Your flattering comment about my blog
Sonome,
I am grateful that you enjoy the things that I write, and took the trouble to tell me so. Your gracious praise might give me a big head, if I am not careful to remember that I have done many boneheaded things, during my lifetime. I will probably get around to writing about them all, eventually. Thank you for being so kind as to let me know that you find me to be impartial. I try to understand people and why they do the often mystifying things that they do, that's all.

I got to tell you guy that I admire the impartial way in which you write and I assume feel. Its not often that one encounters such intelligent dialogue. Thank you for being you :-)
