Dust mites

I ordered you-bake pizza, as I've been gone all day and 3 of Petra's friends are here visiting from the coast. Greg and the boys are staying overnight at the place where he worked awhile back. That was the garage he remodeled and then the owner died. His wife moved away, as she didn't want to live there anymore. Unfortunately, it got broken into a few days ago. No country drive today

We ended up not driving out to my sisters' in the country. She didn't feel good. We might go out there tomorrow, even if it's just to walk around. The barbecue happened in our yard with just the family. Greg researched on google,"olive oil" and read a paper about how they extract it. My daughter bought some pomace instead of the extra-virgin oil. It sounds like they use a chemical process to extract it, so I might take it back. I am sensitive to de-caf that is chemically processed, so I'm trying... Sign in to see full entry.

A day in the country

Today was my last day to sleep in for awhile. I think I get my best rest between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. So far today I have cleaned the bathroom, done some laundry and put some beets on the stove for lunch. The friends Petra visited gave us a big bag of beets, carrots and cucumbers from their garden. I am enjoying all of the fresh produce while it lasts! Refreshing Day

I had another sleep in day and I must say I feel quite refreshed now. Greg and I went to Starbucks for coffee. My niece showed up there and we had a nice little chat. She is the same age as my older daughter. She likes to write and I suggested we start a writers group, where we get together and write or read each others' stuff. She thought that sounded like fun. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
