Cleaning jobs, peaches and blackberry pie!

Today was quite a day! In the a.m. I tried to get up at 6:00, but didn't get out of bed till 6:30. Greg and I went to Starbucks at Safeway, so he could deposit a check in the ATM machine. He left for work in his Dodge van, and I went home for a little while. Finally, I left to clean the first house. All the doors were locked, so I called "Lynn". She had to come home anyway, so it worked out well. She wrote me a check for 2 hours, then gave me an extra job in case I had time. I am getting her... Sign in to see full entry.

"There's an animal on the stairs!"

Today was another busy day, but mostly I was doing things I wanted. I sorted all the books and stuff I brought back from Tucson/Mexico finally. We only have 1 small bookshelf in our bedroom, so I removed all the books that I won't want to read for awhile and replaced them with new and exciting material. There isn't any more room on the shelf. All the other books will have to go in boxes for now. We live in this funny, old, crooked house. It has a lot of little rooms. Downstairs there is a room... Festival of Tents

We left for our trip to a Christian festival on Friday and just got back last night. We arrived at the park, Friday night and pitched our tent in the same location as last year. It was in the far corner of the park, near the river. During the 3 days we attended, there was music under the large tent and speakers in the evening. Back home again

We just got back a couple of hours ago. I will write about my weekend tomorrow when I have more time. I need to get to bed by 9:00 each night so I'm not taking 2 naps a day this next week! A refreshing and long weekend filled with fun, family, friends and rest and lots of rain! My eldest daughter is in Tucson and will be soon on her way to Mexico with the directors of the deaf school. Another long weekend!

I don't have long to write, as our family is getting ready to go on a long weekend. We'll be going to a Christian event called, Festival of Tents. Basically there are about 5 churches or more participating. There will be music and speakers. People will be camping in tents all over a large park. I am hoping we get to pitch our tents in the same location as last year, which was near the river and away from all the noise and activity. Then, I get a lot of walking in. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
