Most Embarrassing And I Know It

There's a story I just now read on Yahoo News about the Duchess of York ( Prince Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson ) being caught in a news sting arranging a payment of about 500,000 euros for engineering access to her husband. This has to be a crucially embarrassing thing. Imagine getting money to... Sign in to see full entry.

A Couple Of Things

Before I log off and return to one of my books for the night there are a couple things I need to mention. Its how I use the internet. I either steal time at work and use the office computer on my desk or at home I sit on the edge of my bed ( I live in a rented room ) and bend over a coffee table I... Sign in to see full entry.

Saturday

Another Saturday and another weekend and this one is exceptional as it is the Saturday before Monday the Polling Day in Trinidad's General Elections and the Wednesday which is payday at the company where I work. I collected my polling card this morning. It was mailed to the address where I lived at... Sign in to see full entry.

The Voting Weekend Begins

I call this a voting weekend as it is the weekend before everyone in Trinidad and Tobago, in the southern Caribbean just 7 miles off the coast of Venezuela, ( for those who need to know ) goes to the polls to elect another government. Its been a hectic political campaign by both the incumbent and... Sign in to see full entry.

Memoriam For Monica

Someone I knew passed away in California last week Friday and the memoriam Mass for her was held today in Port of Spain, Trinidad. I boarded with her at a guest house rental for a number of years in three different places around Port of Spain, Trinidad. She went to school with my mother and knew all... Why ?

I sometimes ask myself why? Why do I do the things I do or think the things I think? Then I discover that all of this, the thinking and doing, relates to something in my past or some circumstance that surrounds me that I am not responsible for. It naturally leads you to believe that we are not... Sign in to see full entry.

Working Out Today

Today seems to be working out, maybe not as I expected but it is panning out as well as can be. A lady who loans me cigarettes and money put me through a workout this morning and all for the sake of the twenty dollars that I was getting from her. I haven't paid her anything for the past two months... Sign in to see full entry.

So It Worked

So it worked. As I believed it would. In yesterday's blog, " Poverty " when I described the events of the day I believed but was not sure how everything would turn out but it did. As I sat in the office contemplating my woes I got a call from my co-worker on the Port of Port of Spain ( I work with a... Sign in to see full entry.

The Day's Poverty

I guess this is a touchy subject to write about and probably because it touches more people than we think but are you employed and poor? I mean really poor. Like having no money to go through the day? Well, I am. Today I left my house with exactly one single dollar to come to work and go through the... Sign in to see full entry.

Blessings

Blessings come in small ways and never when you actually expect them. Like now. I've waited for nearly three weeks for this blog to get started and have been checking the site daily. This morning when everything is awry, it begins like the blessing that comes when you simply don't expect it to. The... Sign in to see full entry.
