It Goes On

The life goes on. Like it or not everything usually comes back to its normal stance after all the events and upsets we have. It seems like our lives, for a variety of reasons, are set in certain ways. We can trace the reasons back into time. I can do that here in Trinidad. The professors of... Sign in to see full entry.

Firm Policies For Life

I have some firm policies for life I never budge from. They don't have to be moralistic or principled or even practical but they are there and I just don't intend, not right now, anyway, to change them. One of them is the need for fun and relaxation even if you can't afford it. Like now, for... Sign in to see full entry.

Morning of the Pay Day

So it the morning of the month-end pittance day which it should rightfully be called. I work as a shipping clerk of over twenty years experience and my salary is close if not below the national poverty line in Trinidad and Tobago. I was once told this by someone who should know although I must admit... Sign in to see full entry.

Losing

I guess we all stand to lose some things at some times but with me losing is as normal and frequent as anything else in my life. I should be accustomed to this but I am not. When it happens its just as traumatic as the first time maybe with a little more experience but that's about it. Right now I... Sign in to see full entry.

Brittany Murphy and Husband Simon Monjack

You ask why these things happen and there are reasons. The story in the LA Times gives Brittany's reason for death as drugs with additional stuff and the police have not confirmed the reason for her husband's death up to story time. We can only assume its a related thing. They died within 5 months... Sign in to see full entry.

Impossible Women

Sometimes women are impossible. Like just now. I went down to the Head Office of the company where I work to get a bit of information that is in the company's online system that would take just a couple minutes at the most. The first girl I went to threw up her arms in the air and complained that I... Sign in to see full entry.

I Just Voted !

I just voted! At about 6.10 a.m. this morning I cast a ballot as a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago in its crucial election of which today May 24, 2010 is voting day. Not only did it not take long but there was obviously a great voter turnout as the school where the polling stations ( some of them )... Sign in to see full entry.

Anna Malova

Then there's this other story of Anna Malova, a 1998 Russian beauty queen who was arrested for falsifying a doctor's prescription in order to buy drugs. The news article says she stole a prescription from her doctor's desk and wrote a prescription on it. I looked up her photo on the net and she is... Sign in to see full entry.
