And we call him God

So time to go off on one of the big subjects here. I will now look at the idea of God. First off we call him the one true God and yet he (Or she) itself makes many claims that there are other Gods out here, just that he is the most powerful of them. Of course any of those references are not to be... Sign in to see full entry.

It is just mythology after all, Part 3

I had not planned on doing a part 3, but I realized that I had forgotten to talk about one of the issues that gives the Bible a mythical feel. So let's talk about the end of the world. As everyone knows, or at least should know, that the last book of the New Testament, Revelation, is all about how... Sign in to see full entry.

The Literal Bible

My post a couple days ago started a debate about how long it took God to create the Earth. I was going off the idea that God would have as much idea of how we measure time as we would understand a fly's idea of time. After all when you only have one day to go around and do your life's work, you... Sign in to see full entry.

It is just mythology after all, Part 2

So now I will tackle the new testament. The new testament feels a little less mythical, I believe this to be because it takes a real person (I do believe that Jesus was real, just not the son of God) and makes them larger than life, similar to what some folk tales do. But there are still mythical... Sign in to see full entry.

It is just mythology after all, Part 1

One on the main things about the Bible that really stops my from believing in it is that I have studied Mythology. The Old testament is really your solid Mythology. It tries to explain it all. How we were created, what happens when we die, why there are so many languages, where rainbows come from... Sign in to see full entry.

Time to God

I do not believe the Earth was formed in seven days. For one thing, what is a day to God? He was the only one there to witness it and he really should have had no idea of what a day was. If God really did create the Earth I believe it took his 6 billion years to do, and then right now we would be in... Sign in to see full entry.

The nude human body

I have always found it interesting that the first thing man learned after eating the fruit of knowledge was that nudity was bad thing. How could two people who had spent their entire lives together naked with each other get embarrassed by nudity? it makes no sense. They would have had to be taught... Sign in to see full entry.

Why does the church hate trees so?

Now to explain the question I just asked. First off it has nothing to do with the fact that most churches are inside and seem to try to hide from nature. Even though that has never made sense to me, it isn't what inspired the question. The reason why I think Churches must hate tree is all the wasted... Sign in to see full entry.

Taking away from good Television programs

Sunday mornings are one of the worst times to watch TV. I get tired of my son's shows and go looking for something more interesting to watch, but I can't find it. Instead we have loud mouth idiots telling us that we are doomed. And they ar loud and annoying. Is it some rule that if you are going to... Sign in to see full entry.

The Evil of Homosexuality

This is just one of those things that I really can not figure out. Who cares about other people's sex lives? I have known several homosexuals in my life. Some I got along with great, while others were just jerks and I couldn't stand them. Just like everyone else in that way I guess. So way is it... Sign in to see full entry.
