Where do your beliefs come from?

A few days ago AMDG and I were debating and I said 'while you of course are using the Bible for the whole basic of your point of view.' To which he replied that I was mistaken as to where his beliefs came from. Which I may have been. My reply was ' Then where does your knowledge of God come from?... Sign in to see full entry.

I could never hope to understand God

Now this is very often what I am told by those who believe in God and you know something? I agree with them. Even with my own ideas of what is out there that could be called 'God', for lack of a better term, I have no real hope of understanding whatever it is. But if no one can even understand 'God'... My Thoughts on how it all began

Okay, since we have been talking about the ideas of nothing coming form nothing, I figured I should just go and do a full post about my ideas of what is possible, since I am positive that there is not an all power, all knowing God. First off, I have talked about the idea that the Universe itself... Sign in to see full entry.

God just put nipples on everything then?

So here we have the idea that God created us flawed as we are. Why? Because he wanted us to learn and grow and all that. Why? If God is perfect and all powerful he should be able to just create us as fully understanding creatures who see the light already. Just the idea that God 'gave' us free will... The Nipple is only the tip of the iceberg

Okay, it looks like I go a lot of good response from my last post, so I figured I should come and clear some of ti up for everyone. Okay, I will agree that the points made last post are not proof that there is no God. There just point in favor of evolution, which several of you seemed to agree with... Sign in to see full entry.

Having nipples is all the proof I need

It is often strange the little things that help to give the bigger ideas the proof that is needed. I am sitting and a chill comes over me. I feel my nipples get hard and think 'why would men have nipples if man was created first?' Suddenly it all becomes very clear that right there is the real proof... Sign in to see full entry.

The Value of Life

Here is a part of religion that still does not fit, even with the claims made by so many. First off if you read the Bible you know that God has no value what-so-ever of human life. He feels like he can throw it away as he sees fit. We are just here for him to do with as he please and our lives do... Sign in to see full entry.

Following your beliefs

Today I am in the store getting stuff off a bottom shelf. As I am getting to me feet, a guy pushes past me without saying excuse me or anything and rushes to the next isle (Obviously whatever he needed on that next isle he needed in a hurry). I noticed that he had one of those W.W.J.D. key chains.... Sign in to see full entry.

They need everything to be black and white

It seems to me that a big part of religion is dividing everything into what is right and what is wrong. Often it makes it very clear what things a good and what are bad, with no exceptions (Even though it is often not followed). There is no area of gray when it comes to the ideas taught by religion.... Let's start teaching students myth in science class

Looking around the net for stuff on evolution one thing became very clear, Christians who are pushing the idea that creation needs to be taught along side evolution have no clue as to what science is. They really do think that the idea of God snapping his finger and creating life has some scientific... Sign in to see full entry.
