My Father was an Atheist
My Father was a professed Atheist and of Scandinavian heritage, my Mother
was part Cherokee Indian and her beliefs ranged from Christianity to
Astrology. I Believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, not because
of any church or preacher or family member, but because "GOD" answered a
prayer that I made when I was nine years old. My father changed his mind
about life after death when my aunt was murdered and he had to sleep in
her house the day before the funeral. I dont believe in Ghosts, but I
know for a fact that a human being can leave a finger-print unseen by the
naked eye but detectable never the less by a chemical powder and ultra-
violet light. Para-psychologists have submitted the theory that when
some individuals die of a violent death, there is an electrical finger-
print that for some unknown reason remains charged even after death.
My Father was an electrical engineer and what he experienced that night
he knew was impossible. Light fixtures with no possible source of power
cannot emit light, yet even after his extensive investigation, his conclusion was that of many who have experienced the para-normal, it was
impossible, but still remained a fact. Those who know anything about
physics will tell you that some mysteries are just pure fucking magic.
Oh, and also even Atheists say "GOD HELP ME, ON THEIR DEATH BED'!

didn't say you did!
How does one know what is right and what is wrong? Is there such a thing as absolute right and wrong? Where do these ideas come from?

You do not have to follow Christ to know what is right and what is wrong. It is a point I have often tried to make here. I openly claim to live a life that is cleaner and more morally based than many Christians I personally know.

W.W.J.D.?
He'd forgive the man. Maybe it was a sign for you. The point is not what would someone who claims to be a follower of Christ but what would Christ do,
There is a common theme to most of your posts, kooka( I read you everyday, by the way--you write well and raise good questions) You show examples of Christians behavingly badly as example of the bogusness of religion. You accurately point out that their actions are directly opposed to their professed faith. But more than that you seem to think these actions are bad in and of themselves. You sound like a follower of Christ...

inkwell
I used one siuation as an example. I have seen this many other times, but it would take me days to do even a partial list. From being flipped off by people who have Christian bumper stickers when I did nothing wrong, to people I know to be Chritians cursing and doing drugs, to out right violent acts from poeple claiming to be Christians.
I base my posts off of experiance.

Somehow I knew you'd base your arguments on one situation.
