Blog DescriptionAttempting to provide a different perspective on the things that we have come to accept and believe but this time around with a much mellower tone. Make no mistake however, patience with the bible lobotomized, (or those rendered dysfunctional by any holy book for that matter), is still in short supply. All I would ask anyone to consider is this; we all have a penchant to default to the notion of respecting the beliefs of others, my first response when someone tries to play that card against me is always the same . . . To back their claims; they invariably produce examples chronicled in the manner of this web site: HERE...and a good number of those bleating about this supposedly widespread... Where it differs from terms such as "non believer" or "atheist" is in the fact that it carries with it more of a negative connotation than other references. "Godless", or the state of being without God is used to describe anything from heinous actions... As his following grew, so too... A natural reaction from someone such as myself, who would like to think that every philosophy that I live by is an original thought derived from my own intellect, is to... I wasn't aware that they had film making technology in the middle ages but apparently this one guy did and he took lots of pictures with it. His name... Without breaking a cerebral sweat, I can think of a number of routinely used cons that permeate religious promotion but... Sometimes the message is wrapped up in an ulterior agenda of having others adopt the life guiding religious precepts of the author but quite often the... A couple of days ago kidnykid reminded me of the story of the 1968 Virgin Mary sightings in Egypt. I remember them from that time period as I was in the last few months of my time at the catholic mission school. I had to listen to every delirious detail from the nuns of... I'm speaking of what those who believe in God feel comfortable in expressing about those who do not believe in God versus what they think is fair to say about them. It... Sign in to see full entry. |
