Platelet Shortage

The American Red Cross has a problem in that it struggles to have enough of a platelet supply. Very few people donate blood and even fewer donate platelets. The reason for this is simple. Time. Smart Trashcans

I see Baltimore City is running a pilot program with smart trashcans. They somehow compact trash. The smart part comes in from its ability to alert the Department of Public Works when a can is full. Dunkin'

It looks like Dunkin' Donuts is in the process of rebranding itself as just Dunkin'. From what the company is saying, they are doing this rebranding to emphasize their drinks.
