Though I never was big on donuts from when I went to Catholic School and they served them every First Friday, I occasionally will eat one. A couple of times a year, maybe. I like chocolate and the long john maple bars.

Re: When we are young, we are invincible, or so we think.
Flat tummies and vibrant hair often have a turn for the worse once age has spoken to our bodies.

One has to be firm with ones self. Although when I was your age I could eat a whole cream and jam sandwich when peckish.

Lol...completely understandable. They are a hard treat to resist.
Like you, I once stopped at my favorite donut shop to get my fix, although my donut fix was a weekly thing. Unlike your powdered donut choice, the Boston or Bavarian custard filled with the chocolate frosting on top was my gut busting treat of choice. I haven't had one in over a year. During our trip to New Orleans in 2019, my brother-in-law introduced me to a new type of fried dough. The Beignet was a real treat with its dusting of powdered sugar. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
