Two things I expected to happen yesterday – didn’t. The first was that my DIL, Yoshiko, has a bad cold, so she stayed at home instead of coming up with my son & Pat. Last night, receiving a call that I would have no surprise visitors, or would at least be warned in advance if the visit could happen, I finally gave in and took a couple of Usana tablets before going to bed. I didn’t get a wink of sleep on Wednesday night, about 3 hours worth on Thursday night, and tonight the pattern is holding. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I turned the corner of the driveway. It was standing, tall and beautiful, right beside the little white cross marking the grave of Bow and Yoshiko’s beloved pet, AC.
