I only worked a half day today, but what a half day it was. We had one new clinit after another, that was good except it takes longer to fill out paper work e.t.c. and the doctors really need to spend a little extra time with them getting to know them. Well today looked like it was going to be a repeat of Monday. Poor dog every time we moved him, he, well, you can guess. He pooped and then he was so afraid that we would be mad that he would pee. Today was much better. It was surgery day. On these days we have one Doctor doing surgery and one doing appointments. We have one tech. helping with surgery and I float between appointments and helping with surgery prep. e.t.c. We had some of the cutest dogs a couple of them happened to be over four... And I mean crappie, I just asked my mother how to spell that. She just looked at me really funny. So I hope that is right. It is the only word that truely discribes my day. I live just about a half a mile from where the Hot air Ballons lift off. Our house is right in the flight path most mornings. I always know when they are coming Raven jumps off the bed looking over her shoulder at the window and presses against the door. I always let the dogs out or drag them out... Today my boss took the senior members of his staff for a ballon ride. I had always wanted to do that. My back was hurting so bad yesterday that I wasn't sure I could go, I am feeling numb from the neck down and I should call the doctor but I am so afraid that they will want another M.R.I. Was up all night with back spasms, call the office manager asked how the morning looked. BAD, seven drop offs on top of everything else, includeing a dental, demat and a blood glucose check. The rest of the day went well. Some of my favorites came in. One little brown tea cup poodle "Patty Cake" came in for shots. She is always so easy to work with but one look at her face lets you know that she is really put out by the whole thing. Dignified-Disgust. I put her on the little baby scale... Well today is thursday. I work half days on thursdays now because of a health condition I have. It helps me to have a shorter day sometime durig the week. I am hoping that the afternoon is quiet. It was a sad day. We euthanized three beautiful dogs today. Each were graceful, proud and old, but never old enough. One was gentle and kind like a favorite aunt.
