Are you HOME?

So many times in the last six months my mom would ask me to take her home. The problem was we WERE home. I think that what she really wanted was for things to be the way they used to be. She wanted to feel good again and for dad to be here. - Those two things I couldn't do. I tried to make her as... Sign in to see full entry.

Mom & Dad Together Again

For fathers day, I am posting some memories of both my dad and mom. I cleaned out my car yesterday and there was a old coffee cup with just a little coffee in it....I remember there was a cup like that in the car one time when I drove dad to a doctors appointment. I said to him, "I'll have to dump... Sign in to see full entry.

Where Were You When The Lights Went Out?

WOW! That's a good question and a good movie staring Doris Day. She's even good when she sleeps through a movie. Wish modern actresses were. Anyway, I can tell you it is a pain when the lights go out. - I was watching the ten o'clock news. The wind had been blowing, driving me crazy, all day long.... Sign in to see full entry.

Roadrunner Tracks

While giving the picnic table a second coat of paint I knocked over a whole can of paint. I burst into tears and ran into the house. Bo, my dog, followed me and jumped into my lap as I sat on the sofa and sobbed. - I was glad he was there, at least he wouldn't get into the paint. I don't need red paw... Sign in to see full entry.

Tennis Balls & Limited Warranties

I was feeling sort of sad today. However, my dog BO would take no excuses he wanted to go outside and play. I HAD to go. - I decided I might as well finish painting the picnic table while I was out there. So I got the can of redwood stain a paintbrush the drop cloth, and while Bo was busy chasing... Roadrunner Facts & Myths

1) No road runner has ever dropped an anvil on a coyote's head. (Good news for Anthony Wiley) - 2) They are kind of scrawny and probably would not make for good eating. (Though it is my guess that they taste like chicken) - 3) They are distantly related to the cuckoo. (May be why I like them so.) -... Sign in to see full entry.

Chasing a Roadrunner & Decaffeinating the dog

I am beginning to feel a little like the coyote in the cartoon. The harder he tries to catch the roadrunner the less luck he has. While hooking up the swamp cooler the other day I took my binoculars to look all around in the distance for the roadrunner. She's nowhere to me found. Should I write to... Sign in to see full entry.

Brain Drain

Do you ever think of something to say, then when you start to say it, your brain goes blank and you come across sounding like a perfect idiot? Well, nobody is perfect, but isn't it awful when that happens? I've discovered a way to get around looking like a fool. - What you have to do is: "shut up!'... Sign in to see full entry.

Well...I'm Baaack!

Sort of...I feel like I'm in a bad dream and I wish I could wake up and everything would be all right. I know that is not going to happen. I guess it is just part of the whole grief process. Denial bargining, anger depression, and finally acceptance. I've got denial and bargining stuck together... Sign in to see full entry.

I had a dream!

Well, I finally fell asleep for a few hours yesterday. I even had a dream about dad and mom. It was a really strang dream but not scary. I was walking around the side of our house and looked off into the distance to see a neighbor step out of her house to get her mail. The strange thing was it was... Sign in to see full entry.
