salvation

pacing across blacktop noise in my head heart pounding out of my chest chewing on bottom lip I stare at the bright blue sky and wonder I’m far from home no salt on my lips sweet salvation miles away can new salvation breed from wonder and question? a new path may bring hearth and home or simple... small smooth stone perfectly round flies through the air skips once...twice…three times water ripples vibrations sending out current to the duckling too far behind giving a little push mama gets babies out of the way for boy to grab dog collar of feisty young puppy whose feet haven’t learned how to... clarity

one small thing one true feeling made me see where I belong it’s not clear the exact destination the end of the road but the path is changing shape cobblestones underfoot give way to sand the sun strokes my face clarity comes in with each soft wave the ocean always knows its way and shows me mine...
