The year we three kids lived on the farm along Lincoln Creek, we learned about the daily chores: feeding and milking cows, shoveling the manure after they went back out to the meadows to graze, gathering eggs and trying to avoid being pecked by hens who didn't want us reaching into their nest boxes....
