Yarn Crafters I Need Your Help And Heart--Crafters Of All Kinds PLEASE

I have an idea that I would like to try and do something with. I am working on a prayer shawl for my friend Tina who just sent her soldier husband to the middle east. I got to thinking about what it was like for me when Carl was deployed. I think I am going to start making prayer shawls and donating... Sign in to see full entry.

Homecoming Part 2

December 8, 2005. We had spent our last night without our men and even though we had gone to bed at 4AM we were all up and running around by 9AM. This was the day and I don't think any of us completely comprehended that this was it, finally this would truly be over. We had talked about this day,... Sign in to see full entry.

Better Late Than Never--The Homecoming

I have been meaning to write this for some time now, given Carl has been home just shy of two months now, I suppose I better get to it before I forget details. December 7, 2005: The day was insane, we had just discovered the night before that all of the soldiers would be arriving together. It seems... Sign in to see full entry.

My Daughter Can Dance

Pam had her cheering event at school tonight. She is not old enough to be a cheerleader yet, that comes in another year or so but once a year the younger girls get to cheer at a basketball game. They also work with the drill team and do some dancing. While cheering is probably not her strongest area... Sign in to see full entry.

AHHHHH Normal Life

Tonight Pam is cheering at the school basketball game. I don't know who is more excited about this me or her. I missed so much with her during the past couple of years and there are moments when I look at her and realize I don't have a lot of time left with her. I see her growing up and forming her... Who Died And Made Us Judge And Jury?

I have been debating about posting this for a few days now and after reading a post earlier I have decided to put this out there. First and foremost if you post to argue with me, have at it, but I am not looking to debate this, I simply wish to state my point of view. You are not going to change my... My Husband Is The Best

Between the Army still owing Carl over $1000.00 that is backlogged until sometime next month and Carl still not back to his regular job money is tight even with the unemployment check which is about 1/3 of what he normally makes. I have been pretty tight about spending on anything that is not a... Sign in to see full entry.

While Carl was in Iraq I dreamed of "normal" life, hell I lived and breathed for normal life and now I have something remotely close to it. It's odd because in many ways I feel like the one that is out of place. I had become so used to being alone (other than Sammy the cat) that at times having Carl... Sign in to see full entry.
