MW,

Wonderful post. Thank you.  I wished the world could be more like the words from John Lennon's "Imagine". Shadow

Great Post...
So true, and so well stated.  Hopefully those that NEED to hear it, will open their hearts and minds to do so.  Great post.  Thanks..

military, looks like a made a freudian slip in my comment here...

funny... can you find it?

Ps.  You did not have to apologize to me in my blog... But thanks all the same.  My littly hissy fit was not exactly directed toward you but toward a very successful public campaign for the last 15-20 years to equate the two.

you are very right about that...I just think as parents we have a duty to try and stop the cycle of hate and prejudice.

I think the reason they all so often go together is because when there are people who will find any reason to treat someone with prejudice.  People seem to fear what they don't know or understand....at some point I can only pray that we see people as nothing more than people.

i just don't understand

and probably never will why racism and homophobia go together...

I may or may not be mistaken for gay depending on white I am doing at the time... (action)

I will never be mistaken for anything other than black (state of being)
