MW...
Yes, I have seen Lion King and it is simply amazing, magical, I really can't put in words the experience, it is one of the best things I have ever seen.  I'm not giving too much away to say that young children play Simba, what a life that must be for them to do this show.

MW...

After you have been in the darkened theater and transfixed by the transformation, from the fiery sunrise till the last curtain call, then you will know what a truly wonderful gift that is.  Great post on bigotry too.

Military Wife,
Good, it's time, isn't it?  Just to live.  I'll tell Michael when he gets home about Carl, he'll be interested.

I can tell you now that Carl actually supported the 82nd while in Iraq, they had a couple of Army units and a small portion of Marines.  We are finally getting to a point that we are once again getting to be "us" again.  Tommorow our daughter is cheering at school and for the first time in too long we will once again simply be parents on the sidelines watching our child...there is no greater gift in this world.

MW,
After all you and he have been through, I hope you get a chance to really enjoy your lives now!  I know what you mean, two years ago, I met the love of my life (also ex-Army, I think I may have told you a little about him,he was in the 82nd Airborne 1980-1989).   He just blows me away with the thoughtful things that he does, to remind me that he's thinking of me throughout the day.   After all these years, I finally meet The One, it's just awesome.

I  can't put into word just how much I love this man.  I am so very blessed and not a day goes by that I don't remind myself of that...then again I don't really have to as he reminds me with his actions.

Military Wife,
I got teary there, that's just such an incredibly sweet thing to do for you and for his daughter, it shows how well he knows you and her, how much he thinks of your needs, and that he's willing to find a way to make it happen. That just says volumes about him as a person. He is a wonderful person, but then so are you, so you both win.

Maggie
I posted some pics of him by the Ocean in NJ that were taken in December of 04 just before he left for Iraq but he was in his DCU's with shoes on (yes, we did some strange things but joining the Polar Bear Club was not one of them LOL).  If you do figure out who the pic was please let me know, now I am curious LOL!

MW, I would have sworn you posted a picture of him in a swim suit, or
shorts, he was by the water and barefoot in the sand and I think it was before he came home in October.  I recall he has quite a body - yeah, he's a hunk!  I don't forget things like that.  Do you know what picture I'm talking about because I'm not going to forget it.  hahaha
