Our last day

Today is our last day here in the Dordogne so I may not blog again until we get back (should be around Saturday teatime). Perigueux

We visited Perigueux yesterday which is in the 'blanc' part of the region after the white stone that is so prevalent there. Another glorious day beckons

Well, as forecast, we took three canoes down the Drone river in Brantome yesterday and it was a lot of fun with a lot of water. Tranquil

Yesterday was a tranquil day here in France. We had temperatures in the low '80s and today it's due to hit the 90's - all with cloudless skies and glorious sunshine. Swallows a maison

I've just been watching swallows ducking and diving over the swimming pool until they were brave enought to dive in. At first I thought they were just checking the water temperature but then it became obvious that they were heading in for early morning drinks. I think they know it will be hot today. St Crepin

At 7.00 this morning I awoke to the sound of a bell tolling through my reverie; I wasn't sure if I was dreaming at first but then the birds outside our open window and the sun's fingers beckoning me outside showed that I was very much conscious and alive to the glory of the day. La Belle France

Hello everyone. Well, we've had quite a stressful week. I've just logged off from the day job sites. It's been a fairly stressful day, remembereing allthe things I've needed to do or tell people but there's nothing more I can do. Rain

Pouring with rain in Cambridgeshire this morning and the train wasn't able to travel fast enough to escape it so got soaked again when I got to London!
