I've found many cathedrals to be impersonal and not welcoming myself.

Malcolm - I've been catching up on your posts (was away for a bit), and am glad you are taking time with your family to relax and enjoy. It is SO important to our mental health. It seems like you are having nice weather, a bonus, and absorbing the sights and atmosphere of France for your holiday. Good for you!! Good writing - I felt like I could see you people lying on the grass, sky gazing....

I can't help but google all the places that you mention.  I found a lot of photos and so feel like I have been traveling with you.

As you blog on your travels, I am trying to remember my geography. No places that I am familiar with yet!

Sounds wonderful; glad you're having such a great time. Thanks for stopping by; I think you're right in saying it could be a server overload, because it sorts itself out in a couple of days!
