Today has been a grey, gloomy-looking day here in Chicagoland. I have spent most of the morning, so far, lazing around various spots in our home. This morning, however, I chose to offer my male human some feline nursing care, because he seemed to need it. He always seems to appreciate these efforts.... Sign in to see full entry.

8/27/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
My idiot brother Michael is acting irritatingly cute today. Yesterday, my male human stepped on his tail; he has apparently forgiven my male human for this serious lawjammie offense, because he is now on my male human's lap, having gotten on his lap voluntarily. Oh, the nerve of my idiot brother!... Sign in to see full entry.

8/26/2006 Nurse Garfield's FIeld Notes
It has been a slow day today. I will be seeing Pepper, Penny and Ali tomorrow for nip tea and gossip, and I will ask them when they want to meet my new friend Zeb. I also plan on emailing Zeb either tonight or tomorrow to arrange for him to meet my female friends. My human is doing well. She and my... Sign in to see full entry.

8/25/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
I tried emailing my new friend Zeb yesterday, but the email didn't get to him. This is frustrating, as I want to introduce him to Pepper, Penny and Ali this weekend. Today, it's my idiot brother Michael that has everyone worried. He has been lethargic; he didn't even go to our male human for his... Sign in to see full entry.

8/24/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
I waited until now to write up my Field Notes because we have had a large number of thunderstorms in Chicagoland this morning, and my human was a bit nervous about taking my dictation. She hates power failures even when she is feeling well emotionally, and she was afraid that the computer would shut... Sign in to see full entry.

8/23/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
My human has one of the early-morning news programs on the television this morning, and this news program did a segment on Barbaro, the poor horse that shattered his hind leg at the Preakness. Evidently, he's doing very well; he's going outside to graze daily, and has been for a while now. He isn't... Sign in to see full entry.

8/22/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
I went out on what amounted to a date last night, with a young man named Zeb. He is a junior cattorney working on the Cyberkat list, and he was quite attentive last night. I prepared him some nip tea, which we both enjoy, and then, we went out to dinner. I do hope he had a good time last night. I... Sign in to see full entry.

8/21/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
I have two items to cover in today's Field Notes. First of all, my male human heard a story about a jazz funeral for the canine and feline victims of Hurricane Katrina. It's being held now (rather than right after Katrina left New Orleans) because the recovery effort had to take first priority last... Sign in to see full entry.

8/20/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
Today, I'm worried about my male human. He overslept this morning; the financial stress my family labors under is finally affecting him tremendously. No wonder I worry. My regular human says he's particularly prone to wanting to do nothing but complain about problems, without wanting to take... Sign in to see full entry.

8/19/2006 Nurse Garfield's Field Notes
I decided to get today's Field Notes out of the way early so that my male human could have the computer for researching This Day on Broadway. (He wishes he could do better on this blog, by the way; very few people are visiting the blog.) I'm going over to see Mickey today, using the Tunnel system.... Sign in to see full entry.
