I've been living here for over a month and a half...

But until yesterday afternoon, I'd never actually walked over the Brooklyn Bridge. The weather yesterday was great, and I figured that I'd do it while the weather was warm. I ended up near City Hall Park, near Broadway. I then went up into Chinatown and explored the streets around there for a while. Usually, when one thinks of Chinatown, New York, one thinks of the area around Canal Street. But there's so much more to the area and it's actually a really cool place to be. I got bored one day and made the following list...

Of types of clothes or accessories that I can't stand on men. There's no particular order to the list, by the way, but I've seen all of these committed at some point in my dating career. Well, it's official...

I didn't get the job that I've been talking about for the past few weeks. I'll be honest and tell you that I'm very, very disappointed; I really wanted this job and thought I had it in the bag. I was told that I was one of a couple of candidates that they seriously considered; but I guess they just liked the other person better. It just goes to show you that even though you might think a job search process went well, and that you got the job, that there was some other factor involved which... Sign in to see full entry.

Very lovely, bizarre weather

We're only a few days away from the "official" start of fall, but here in New York it definitely doesn't feel like it. In fact, we've been having Indian Summer here. Its a very nice way to convince oneself that summer is not, in fact, over! Sign in to see full entry.
