A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

But at least I got out of the apartment today to do laundry and buy food, and cleaned the apartment. Going to the grocery store reminded me that I hadn't eaten since the day before yesterday--I just couldn't stomach food yesterday. At least today, now that I have some food in my stomach, I'm not feeling dizzy and I thiknig more clearly. So, I'm on the mend, even though I've begged off work for the next few days to recouperate. I hate being sick--but here I am with a cough and cold. I went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 11:00; took a shower and some Theraflu. I felt faint and dizzy, so I went back to bed and slept until 3. The dizziness is gone, jbut I've still got a splitting headache, sore throat, and sniffling. I'm trying not to get my roommate sick, so I've basically shut myself in my room and not gone out all day long. For once I'm thankful its Martin Luther King day and didn't have to go to work. I mentioned in my previous post that I went to Madison Square Garden last night; M was there as well. It was an extremely awkward situation, with C on one side of me asking questions about M, and me trying to answer without either R or M hearing. Truth be told, I'm not exactly sure that I know what's going on in M's mind--any guys out there, help me figure it out. So much has happened in the past 48 hours. All in all, C's visit passed without a hitch. When he arrived on Friday night I took him to the best pizza place in Brooklyn--which, surprisingly, he didn't like. Then we took the train up to Times Square. C was like a little kid in a candy store; I admit that Times Square can be a bit much for the first-timer. ... from Virginia. As I might have mentioned before, I'm a little apprehensive about this visit. About a month ago, he broke up with his ex. Next thing you know, he's calling me, asking if he can come visit for a few days (he'll be here today, tomorrow, and Sunday). He;s flying in, and he got his tickets only a few days ago.
