Regarding the job I mentioned in the previous post:

I've decided I really do want it. The agency represents a number of really great books, such as: CJ Sansom ( Dissolution, a novel about the dissolution of the monasteries under Henry VIII), Brenda Janowitz ( Scot on the Rocks, which is a chick lit novel; the author teaches the course I'm going to take in the spring), Donna Cross ( Pope Joan, about the 9th Century woman who manged to become Pope), and Karlene Koen ( Dark Angels, about the 17th century court of Charles II). So I really, really... Sign in to see full entry.

Job interview on Thursday

...with another literary agency. Assistant position, again. The agency is located on the UES and specializes in almost everything. Wish me luck! I heard about this job through an online posting, so I need to be doubly impressive. I spent the day at work, did a lot of reading, doing errands, that kind of thing. Tomorrow is a lay-low day and I'm going to do some cleaning, go to the post office, and re-organize some things around the apartment. Sign in to see full entry.

And, do you think the... Sign in to see full entry.

Amazon.com reviews

I've been writing reviews and posting them on Amazon.com for about three years now. Books, music, DVDs, anything I read/watch/listen to, goes up on there. I've got about 275 reviews there. If you're a patron on Amazon, or have paid any attention to the reviews that are posted on Amazon.com, you might be familiar with the name Harriet Klausner, a librarian who's gained some fame in having written over 13,000 reviews for the site. She claims that she's a speed reader and can read 2-3 books a day.... Sign in to see full entry.

Easter plans

On Sunday my dad's coming up to visit. I haven't see him in a while, so it'll be good to see him. He's even planning to have an Easter egg hunt in my apartment for me, just like old times. When I was little, Easter was a little bit like Christmas: we'd come downstairs in the morning, and there would be our Easter baskets sitting in the living room, filled with great stuff: chocolate eggs and bunnies, those plastic eggs with maybe a little bit of money inside, etc. A few years ago I was in my...
