Summer is coming...
My mom had a rule: No shorts until the thermometer hits 80F. Yesterday was the first shorts day of this year. Personally, I start feeling the hot around 75, and last night was the first fan night of this year. The fan runs about every night in open windows season, not just to keep the air moving, but also as white noise, to smooth out the sudden street noise, like someone enjoying a loud-engined motorbike, or bellowing with laughter, or having a loud verbal altercation.
