Strange not-quite-rhythmic thumping--as Charlie beats the carpets that we unloaded from the Stage today. I thought using a broom would be simpler, as well as quieter, but he wants to beat them, so they be beat! Even if the beat is a little irregular. In fact, we unloaded everything, and all the furnishings, fabrics, poles and posts are sitting on the side yard at the moment.
