It isn't in position to be jumped on, except perhaps in final frustration. We've taken it off the trailer tongue now, dumped lubricant in both ends, and if it doesn't work by tomorrow, I will see about replacing it.

Get someone to jump up and down on it. Might just break loose the

"frozen" joint. Someone of medium or light weight, you don't want to jam it tighter. When a jar lid sticks, it sometimes loosens the "grab" by heating the outer side, as the heat expands the metal just a bit, it can be worked loose.

Well if I were there I would just put a shoulder against it and ask a mechanic, things rust when not in use and you don't want to force it really.
