Our tree is up!
I know some folks set up their Christmas tree as soon as Thanksgiving is cleaned up. We have always waited. If it goes up too early, by Christmas, it is old and withery, and no longer a happy surprise each time we come into the room. Our tradition, when the first kid was a creeper, in the days of poorness, we waited until Christmas Eve, and got one of the leftover trees in abandoned tree lots, for free.
