Wandering freely joy-filled Light crossing universes with a notion Curiosity on wheels, on wings, ever always in merry motion... Wants to see, wants to know, no boundaries where the Light can go! Try it out, try it on, form of solid matter-- Ponderous, preposterous, time-bound hungering hulk of mass senses appalling and imperious... Wants to touch, to feel, to feed an earthbound sack of endless need! Love is shattered from a single One to countless sparks that dance in space to fragments alone... Sign in to see full entry.
Continuing the topic of the previous post about Generation Gap... some thoughts crystallized by several eloquent comments to that post That Youth always struggles against the tendency of Age to share what we have come to believe is true about the world, life, people, etc from our life-experience. It isn't that the wisdom isn't of value, but that people of all ages need to and want to learn things for themselves. It isn't enough for a free soul and mind to follow what we are told is true. Some,... Sign in to see full entry.
...about getting older and younger members of an organization to mix and share their best qualities and skills. The younger people are, the less they have worked omaybeut their adolescent issues with parent figures... and they still don't see that they are bound to be us in a few years. They often don't know how to deal with old age and its accompanying aspects, and have a dread of it, only seeing it as the thing that will demolish their good looks, energy, potentials... By the time we get here,... Sign in to see full entry.
Parts. Each part of us that helps us process and balance our lives, is, in this model, a fragment of ourselves held in memory until called for. Each Part contains at its center, a belief along with all the evidence that proves the belief, the strategies that protect and support the belief and an alarm system to shove it into the forefront when Reality triggers it--throws us a situation in which this Part's central belief holds a key to our success, maybe even our survival. But wait! There's... Sign in to see full entry.
So many of us trying to understand, to explain, to convey notions--the vocabulary is more than a little fluid, very confusing as same words mean very different things, and different terms try to describe exactly the same things... Yes, I think you have the same information with different words, maybe slightly other angles. And also yes, the dream and others like it, and the day-to-day or more dramatic, rite-of-passage life-experiences all contribute to my concept of the Big Picture. Reading... It's a truth in my Universe that we are each members of spiritual families: more extended than the spiritual 'class' of which we are part-- the group of beings that travels along at a common learning level--we are connected by other things besides the 'curriculum' by which we, as spirit, evolve. The Family is about relationships, karmic business, finished and especially unfinished. Often we are related in human as well as 'being' terms: parents and children, aunts, uncles and cousins--knowing... Sign in to see full entry.
Texture in a recent post considered why we write, raising by the topic questions of need and hungers: We write, we communicate, because we need to make contact with other points of awareness; we need to be acknowledged as real outside our personal sphere; we want to be seen as significant and meaningful and valuable... Could find more to list, no doubt... It comes down, I believe, to one spirit saying 'hello' to another, and getting 'hello' in response. We can and do complicate it, but often... Everything has its own place to be in the Universe, where it is properly and correctly placed, where it is Right. Even that which is clearly untrue anywhere else, has its own place to be the Truth. When Galileo presented the notion that the Truth is that the Earth revolves around the Sun, he exposed the untruth of Ptolemy's scheme of orbits and loops that until Galileo had defined the accepted truth of the shape of the relationship of Sun, Earth, Moon and other planets. And yet--the fantastical... Sign in to see full entry.
Years ago, my first most serious boyfriend was Jewish, and this meant more in his family than in some. His mother's father had been Chief Rabbi in Palestine before the State of Israel was created, and he, being no Zionist, but believing God in his own good time will establish the new Israel, emigrated to the United States. I had the honor of sharing in several seders, though I was not Jewish. Reading Mal's blog today, I am reminded of how it was on those occasions. The ritual gathering and meal... (This is my response to Corbin Dallas who left a comment on my previous posting in my Loosely Speaking blog: Kooka offers his congratulations... http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Ciel7600/ about teaching children about sex. I think it deserves a general airing.) I did not tell my kids to practice safe sex, I told them about what safe sex is and isn't, and why safe sex is a better idea than unsafe sex. That all sex has a risk. That sex without love is rather pathetic, in my opinion. I... Sign in to see full entry.
