Good Saturday morning. Lisa and I are going to go out for breakfast as soon as the guy down the street brings the car back. He does oil changes and little things like that. I've been wanting to get the oil changed and that small third brake light on the back of your car fixed (the one that seems to... Sign in to see full entry.

Finally
We are still getting on-again, off-again showers, but the heavy rain that has been with us for about 32 hours has passed and other than the loss of power yesterday, we are unscathed. It is expected to hit 80 today, so we will probably spend the day on "glass patrol." The heavy rain will have exposed... Sign in to see full entry.

Our power came back on about fifteen minutes ago, so I came back here to pick up where I was when everything shut down. I developed this thing where I open up the page for each of the posts I make, then fill them all in, and once all my posts for the day are done, I hit SUBMIT on them. That habit... The power remains off and the wind is really coming up. I was hoping to spend this day writing and plotting in several different stories, but that's not going to happen for a while. I've found my pad if yellow legal paper, so I can not down some notes of things I want to include in the I Hate My... Sign in to see full entry.

We started putting up the new dog fencing yesterday, and between the three hours we worked on it yesterday and the seven we put in today, the job is done. We ran over 325 feet of heavy-duty fencing around our... Sign in to see full entry.
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
It was forty-seven years ago today that the Fitzgerald left port in Superior, Wisconsin, and headed east. She would flounder some 30 hours later near Whitefish Bay Point, a place I used to stand on for hours not that long ago. This is a map of her trip and her official story. Edmund Fitzgerald June... Whew, We have been working to install a bit over 300' of heavy wire fencing around the backyard to keep the dogs inside the fence so they can go out and come in at will. The original roll of wire weighed more than both of us together, but we've managed to erect about 180 feet so far. I think it gets... Sign in to see full entry.
Our power came back on at about 9:30 last night, just in time to catch a couple of the television programs we follow. I record everything we want to watch because our schedule has been absolutely crazy the last few months, so we didn't miss anything important. The way I have our house set up is just...
