naughty you and you didn't lose the weight you wanted to and probably should you dehydrated and your bloods were all over the place. It seems all you older men should be married to a nurse. Wiley needed me and now Jim needs me.

Well, I'm glad they got you back (almost) on your feet. Please take care of yourself, your dear wife is counting on you.

My Wife's Column

Lisa has her page under my name. You can find it here.

In case you didn't know, when my wife died in April 2018, I was devastated. Back in 1999, Lisa worked under me as a new RN in the Emergency Room I was in charge of running.  She was a great nurse then, and after I retired in 2002 due to a back injury, Lisa remained in the ER as an afternoon shift leader.

I lost track of her, but as my book about her, "Finding Myself Again," explained, she found me to tell me she was sorry about the death of Judy. She had also worked for almost a year in OB under Judy, the OB department supervisor, for 21 years. Judy was a remarkable woman...and I knew it. When I lost her, I never thought I would find a woman who was strong enough to keep me happy... but Lisa proved to me I needed her as much as she needed me.

I am publishing the 86,000-word story about Judy and me on Blogit because it was originally written and posted here. I'm about 65,000 words into that story now. Next will come "Finding Myself Again," the story about losing Judy and funding Lisa again. I rarely use "bad words" in my stories, but there are a lot of implications if you know what I mean. A good writer can imply a lot of things that make the reader understand what is happening.

Why? My new publisher wants to give those stories a professional "go-through." I'm going though them to keep from looking like an idiot when the pros see 120,000+ words. The books will be published in hardcover and softcover, as well as on Audible. We are toying with the idea of combining those two books about the two women who changed my life for the better.
Thanks for asking a good question!
