I am still feeling like crap, but a higher grade of crap so far this morning. Maybe I am improving. I'm not sure yet. It will be easier to tell you what our weather will be like than to tell you, soooo.... feast on this: V Sign in to see full entry.

This is Verwayne. While I am far from feeling good, I found enough strength to wander in here and post a few things I consider my mission. It's currently about 7:45 PM EST, and I am going to take a shower and call it a night. Thanks for the well-wishes. V Sign in to see full entry.
Hey
V has been in & out of the hospital for the last 3 days. He just got home again & I took his skinny butt to bed. Some of his baseline lab results are way off base, but nothing they are doing seems to bring him back to normal. His iron level has plummeted to a low that usually triggers a steady iron... I'm sorry. If it weren't for constant interruptions, I'd get something done. Currently, it is 'only' 87, with an expected high of 93. Not bad. We've been outside, continuing to work on the yard. We've done some major work, but there is still more to do. Most of it is 'busy work,' but this place was... Sign in to see full entry.

I see my sweet wife told you about last night. I have not been slowing down at all during the 93-102 degrees we have been experiencing the last two weeks. I have also lost 12 pounds in that time period. I began to get weaker, and I should have known better, and responded the way I know very well I... Sign in to see full entry.

Boy, oh boy, it rained hard last night! Water roared down the street, at least 5-6" deep. Our dogs are rarely fearful of thunder and lightning, but all four of them wanted to be in bed and under the covers. Buster, our biggest dog (and outweighs Lisa by about ten pounds at 138), was trying his best... Sign in to see full entry.

I meant to add this to my entry earlier, but I forgot. Part 33 of my book, "I Remember Judy—A Love Story," is a particularly touching chapter in my life. It's not a long chapter, but it was a touching moment that I still remember like this morning. If you were to read no more than this chapter, I... Sign in to see full entry.
Good morning. Lisa and I got up a little earlier than normal today, grabbed a bit of breakfast, and have been sitting outside, discussing our fathers for the last two, almost three hours. I would never say my father was 'better' than hers, but sadly, it was true. Her mom was a much better mother... Sign in to see full entry.

I think the 95-102 degrees and the ultra-high humidity have finally gotten to me. It's been a long time since I've felt this weak and knocked-kneed. I typically walk the one-mile round trip to the corner "meat store" three blocks west and then two blocks north from our place. I am a big meat eater... Sign in to see full entry.

I've been lax in posting in this area for the last week or so, and for that, I apologize. I'm not sure whether I will be changing or increasing my word count today, but I am finally gathering up my strength after walking six miles, walking from the far east side of town to the far west side of town...
