It is 62 outside today. We have all of the house doors and windows open, exchanging fresh air for stale winter air. Of course tomorrow, we revert back into highs in the mid 40's for a week or more. I wanted to get some raking done but it will have to wait a bit longer. Afterall, it is still March... Sign in to see full entry.

Legos and Sore Throats
The weather can't decide if it wants to be warm or cold here. Yesterday was about 40 degrees but the day before was 56. Weather.com says we will see 55 today and 65 on Monday, quickly followed by several days in a row of the low 40's. I predict a lot of colds and sore throats! In the mean time, my... Live College Baseball Today!
I do live streaming of lots of things. Today kicks off the 2015 baseball series we will be streaming out of Jacksonville, Illinois. I hesitate to say that this was a last minute set up but it was. We will have a few bugs but you can watch college baseball here until about 7PM EST at no cost. They... Sign in to see full entry.

Energy To Burn!
The five year old grandson is doing much better and after resting for a day, he now has energy to burn. He still has a horrible cough but the fever is gone and his energy has been restored. If only I could run at half his pace! As I report in my writing blog, my audio book is in its final stages and... Sign in to see full entry.

To Sleep, Perhaps to Dream!
I had to take my five year old grandson to the walk-in clinic this morning after he ran a 102 degree fever lasting over 30+ hours. The fever didn't respond well to ibuprofen or to a nice hot bath so we took him in. He has a "nice" case of pneumonia and was given a breathing treatment and sent home... Sign in to see full entry.

What A Day In The Neighborhood!
It was a early spring time day here with temps hitting about 52 or so. If they can be trusted, the weather forecast says it will be 64 or so this Saturday. We can use it to help soak up some of the standing water from all of the melting snow. We weren't the only ones enjoying the warmer weather. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Michigan In Ice!
They say small things amuse small minds so you can understand I snapped the photo below. It has been in the mid 40's here the past couple days, a welcome change to the temps below zero the week before. I had to go into town and was tip toeing through the mud puddles and happened to look down to see... Sign in to see full entry.

Things I've Learned
This isn't mine but after the last year or so, I can attest that it is true. I've learned that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. I've learned that when you're in love, it shows. I've learned that just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day.... Sign in to see full entry.

Thank you
Thanks to all that have sent me their well wishes. They have increased my digixon and several other meds. I have several doctor appointments this week. I'm trying not to do things that cause it to get started. For those that have never had this problem (A-Fib), imagine a big ol' catfish flopping... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm Back... for a while Anyway
A few days ago, I went into another run of A-fib, a condition where the top part of your heart starts beating much faster than the top half, essentially pumping no blood, and I formed a blood clot that hit my brain and I passed out. I was just released from the hospital. I am fortunate in the fact I... Sign in to see full entry.
