A Request

I just posted another 1800 words or so in my story blog. It is on the sensitive side of life and was a major part of our early years together. The extended forecast here is looking pretty decent with highs in the upper 30's and low 40's. It's been a fairly severe winter and maybe we'll get an early... Sign in to see full entry.

I added another 2700 words to my story today and formatted it to my 'cell phone' format, complete with links to important things. I think I have a total word count of 14,500 right now and I haven't even got to the part where we get to our wedding. I'm guessing that this could hit 35,000 to 45,000... Sign in to see full entry.

I slept in this morning to find we got another five inches of snow with a stiff wind coming out of the south. It didn't get much colder than 25, so the heat system didn't kick in very often. Win-win I guess. I at least feel better than I have in a few weeks. I posted another 1600 word segment of my... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm going to spend a few hours writing today and call it an early evening about 7PM or so. Yeah, I'll get up every 45 minutes or so, play with the dogs, and otherwise move around, but I want to get at least three of my current stories in progress to the market by the end of March. My current "Book... Sign in to see full entry.

I slept like the proverbial rock last night. It was warm enough (only a low of about 25 last night) to leave the dog door open, allowing Buster, my big black dog, to come and go as he pleased. I don't know what kind of dog breed he is, but he loves to go out and lay in the snow. He watches... Sign in to see full entry.

I came home about two hours after I left here and laid down. I'm either getting used to the stuff or they had changed up the dose. Either is possible. After I got up, I sat down and pounded out another 1400 words into my latest book. It isn't hard, I just have to remember major moments of our life... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm headed over to the hospital in about five minutes. An update of sorts. The doctors office from Florida just called me and the small rise in my markers has turned into a small decline. Progress is measured in the numbers. We are not there yet, but we are gaining traction. It makes the time I am... Sign in to see full entry.

I just woke up after a two hour nap and I'm going to work on my story for a while. No chemo today, but the effects of the last treatment still linger. Treatment resumes tomorrow and then nothing until Tuesday. I'm tired, but I'm determined. I once was compared to the Energizer Bunny because I keep... Sign in to see full entry.

The interview went extremely well, lasting about 35 minutes or so. It was well attended and so far, my book has sold eleven copies in the past hour, making it time well spent. As I listen to the replay, I didn't realize how I stuttered for a moment when I spoke about the story about my wife. If you... Sign in to see full entry.

Me On The Radio!

If you are available about NOON EST today and have half an hour, drop by to this link and listen as I am interviewed live about my my book, "The Totally Unnecessary Death of Amanda Dawn." It was named the February 'Book of the Month' by the 'Race Review Book Club.' Naturally, I have a slight sore... Sign in to see full entry.
