LOL... I was just making a post about how frustrating this day had become when I accidentally closed the wrong browser tab and I erased a two paragraph entry. That should sum up my day. Too many phone calls talking about things that didn't pertain to me, but they were trying to get me involved in... Sign in to see full entry.

Yesterday was a nice day despite the late afternoon showers. I didn't get to do much of any writing, but I got to see an old friend and hopefully gave him something to remember. He looked terrible physically, carrying that gray-ish skin appearance that tells me that he probably won't live much... Sign in to see full entry.

My friend was here for about four hours today. He was in awe of the places that I showed him. I can't say that took away all of his woes, but he appeared to be much calmer when he left vs when he arrived. I'm in the middle of a live stream production right now, so I can't do much else. but we only... Sign in to see full entry.

Not only is it 'race day' (although I am seeing hints of a rain storm moving into that area about 5PM tonight!), a friend of mine from high school (Class of 1970!) that I haven't seen since the last class reunion about ten years ago is going to stop by some time this afternoon. Our lives took... Sign in to see full entry.

Our beautiful morning will turn to showers later this afternoon, meaning that if I am going to walk the dogs and remain relatively dry, I need to get out and running this morning. Thank you for the discussion on the cancer story. I found the comments informative. I am fully aware that there will... Sign in to see full entry.

As a loved one lay his last card on the table, there are people who don't want to be there when it happens. People fear death, and I know it all too well. My hero has very few hours left in... Morning Surprises and Inspirations

It looks to be a nice day ahead here in da UP. Temps are going to be in the upper 70's and maybe low 80's, clear skies. Ahhh, just another morning of weird calls. First thing this morning, I get a call from a Lubbock Texas number that I don't recognize. Turns out it was a guy I went to high school... Sign in to see full entry.

The section in my 'cancer' story that I just posted is what I call a 'pivot piece.' It gets me from one place that needs addressing, but not pages and pages to a place that does need pages and pages. If you read it, I am open to criticism of structure and necessity. If you see something that is... Sign in to see full entry.

My neighbor had car problems this early this morning, so I had to go out to rescue him. It looks like he hit a pot-hole in the road a bit too dead on and it broke something in the suspension. Lucky him! LOL I did manage to get a nice shot of a small wandering creek that apparently was warmer than... Sign in to see full entry.

Try This On For Size

I got thinking about the cover for the story and couldn't let it go. What do you think of this? I'm trying to keep it simple, beautiful, causing one to think beyond the hospital room. This is what happens when I get too much time on my hands. Sign in to see full entry.
