I just posted this over on Twitter: Verwayne Greenhoe @VerwayneAuthor · 2m Got an email from #Audible that needs to be shared. Audible has set up #Free audio book links for kids as long as the #schoolclosings are in effect. If you have kids or just like listening - check it out! #writers... Sign in to see full entry.
It's 38 outside, but there is enough humidity in the air to make it feel more like 5 above. There's a snow/rain storm warning out for later this afternoon. Right now, the advanced radar shows it either missing us or just catching us with its leading edge. I'll tell ya more about 5 PM tonight. The... Sign in to see full entry.

I thought this was funny. You? I went with my cousin to a candy convention and the next thing I know, we are surrounded by police. I'm not sure exactly what happened but apparently my cousin had a couple Twix up his sleeve and we got away. Sign in to see full entry.
An Update
As I continue to work on 'Caretaker,' I'm posting segments that will end up in the book, but not necessarily as they are appearing here. One more time I'll tell you; I've done some massive stuff before, but nothing that had to be fact based and as medically correct as I could be in order to stay... Sign in to see full entry.
I woke up fairly early for me, about 7 AM. I've never been a morning person. You're much more likely to find me up at 2AM vs 7AM. I flipped the computer on and answered a dozen or so emails, and then began to write. When I looked down at the clock, it was 10:15. I was on another hot roll, and when I... I've been wearing my copper-compression gloves, but still, they hurt. But I'm not sad about it. Over the course of this day, I've managed... Sign in to see full entry.
I've got everything lined up for this new story, including the title, ' Nothing Is As It Appears To Be. ' It will be the third (the second is still in production, but that may become the third and this one will jump into the second position) in my apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic novel series. I'm... I've figured out the story that was rumbling around in my head, keeping me awake. I'm beginning to lay it out in my 'Bone Pile' now. I was looking for a particular Rod Serling quote when I ran across this one. It fits me perfectly. Writing is a demanding profession and a selfish one. And because it... Sign in to see full entry.
For reasons yet unknown to me, I tossed and turned all night. Most times that I do that, there is something I need to do, should have done, or (my personal favorite) a new story line is working itself out in my tiny lil brain. I try not to do this too often, but I may go back and just rest for half... Sign in to see full entry.

If you've been following my 'Caregiver' story, I've finally begun to close in on the details I've been missing. I've managed to 'sketch out' about 12,000 words of short notes that now need to be elongated upon to offer help to those caring for an Alzheimer's or dementia type person. I consider these...
