A Foggy Morning at the Seney National Wildlife Refuge

I'm sure that I have posted this before, but it was still beautiful. This was a late spring photo of one of the Seney National Wildlife Refuge trails, about twenty-five miles due west of Newberry. Check It out! Sign in to see full entry.

Sliding Thru Turns 3 & 4!

This is an IMCA Modified car going through the wide three and four turns of Crystal Motor Speedway back in 2019 at about 75 mph. I was about fifteen feet from this car as it went by me. I used to take about 2500 to 3000 photos every night of racing. The average number of cars that would race was... Sign in to see full entry.

Foggy Morning At The Boat Landing

This was taken way back in 2016. We had left out fishing boat on a lake whose name I can't recall right now so we could get an early start. When we got out there about 6:30 AM, we found this. Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

Mooose! Spring of 2021

I accidentally came face to face with this big cow. She starred at me for a minute and then headed back into the forest. A magnificent animal, to be sure. Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

We Have Liftoff!

I remember this shot very well. This big boy had been watching us for several minutes before he decided to go someplace else to hunt. The wingspan on this bird was well over six-feet wide. Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

Nice Six Point Buck in Velvet

I got this shot early one morning when I didn't take the dogs out. I don't know how he didn't hear me coming up the hill, but as soon as he heard the shutter snap on my Nikon, he was heads up and gone. Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

The Stairway to Heaven

This stairway is a very remote and probably seldom used set of steps down to Lake Superior along the Pictured Rocks National Shoreline. It is BEAUTIFUL! Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

A Winding Stream in the Fall

I can't remember the name of this remote, winding stream we found one afternoon, but it sure was pretty! Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

The Obverse Side of the 1937-D Buffalo Five Cent Piece

As I posted last night, the young man behind this error worked two jobs to make a living. The year was 1937, and the Great Depression was still in full swing. It took WW2 to pull the country out of the economic doldrums in 1942. The guy was working days and then came into the mint to work from 10P... Sign in to see full entry.

The Reverse Side of a 1937 - D Three-Legged Buffalo

This was a coin that I owned about six years ago. I'll post the other side of it tomorrow. This is one of the most well-known errors in numismatics today. I will probably get a bit more into details tomorrow, but the guy that caused this had been written up several times for falling asleep at work... Sign in to see full entry.
