ONE MORE THING I DON'T UNDERSTAND - December 29

Way back in the parkland woods where once there stood a fire tower, three miles from the nearest town, underneath a sheltering bush were spread two ratty blankets lined with big black plastic bags; beside, a water jug and empty cans, New York Times just three days old.
