I must stop buying sodium lauryl sulfate, a toothpaste chemical which is causing orangutans to lose their habitat because forests are being cleared to create palm plantations. I must write three letters and send two emails. I went library today and returned a book. Tomorrow, I have a doctors... Sign in to see full entry.

Today...
Hurricane Gustav didn't hit New Orleans badly and I'm glad. At least, if it would've been bad the had more plans. No Superdome this time; people went to 17 inland shelters with free buses and you were allowed to bring pets and wheelchair, plus an orderly evacuation. I just found out that Sarah... 9/01/08
I've sent in my poem and written for yuwie. This is the last thing I absolutely need to do for today in order to keep up with my goal list. I've decided to postpone the website until I get paid from Disaboom on the 19th or so. I painted my nails alternating colors. It looks very cool! I need to... Sign in to see full entry.

Today...
This entry is pasting weird. I've had to retype it a bunch. I went shopping to buy nail polish, polish remover, and trash bag, plus $10. I'm going to alternate nail colors. Celina's doing laundry, after giving me inspiration for my first contest poem, which I can begin in 49 minutes, as then it'll... Sign in to see full entry.

100 words on Today...
Didn't post here yesterday, there was no point since I won't be posting it on the 100 words website anyway (I've missed too many days with surgery, ect). My shopping list for my mall trip tomorrow is an electric toothbrush, nail polish remover, pocket folders, perhaps some new nail polish, a new... Sign in to see full entry.

On Obama...
I got my electric bill; $40 or so. I love Rachel Maddow and I'm so glad she'll have her own show on MSNBC. I'm watching John Lewis (the democrat from Georgia, whom I met and adore; he marched with MLK and was beaten protesting for civil rights) on MSNBC where I'm watching the Democratic National... On Voting...
Eighty-eight years ago yesterday women in the US got the right to vote. The oldest woman delegate at the Democratic Convention is 91. She was born not able to vote! I can't imagine not being able to vote. I've never missed an election, even a local one. I drove myself to a local election a few years... Sign in to see full entry.

Today...
Eagerly watching the Democratic National Convention, even though I'm a Green-Rainbow Party member. It's 70 days until the election. Go Obama! I'm going to sleep in about an hour. My poetry contest starts Monday. I want to post 40 more Mylot posts by Sunday, in order to meet my monthly goal there. I... Sign in to see full entry.

On Writing...
I'm glad the Olympics are over. It's hard to disciplined enough to write about the same thing everyday.I've always had trouble being disciplined in writing. I start with great idea, get bored, and give up on it, when the new story spark dies and I'm not excited to write about it anymore. I need to... Sign in to see full entry.

Wierd Olympic Story...
Cornelius Horan who disrupted the 2004 Olympic marathon as a crazy form of protest. He thinks aliens are coming to overtake the Earth and disrupts televised sporting events to call attention to his crazy beliefs. I'm concerned that he'll disrupt the London Olympics in 2012, as he lives in the city.... Sign in to see full entry.
