CHRISTIANS ARE LIKE THE PHARISEES, SADDUCEES AND SCRIBES, SOMETIMES

They came to the Jordan river to observe this new phenomenon: John the Baptist preaching repentance and changing lives (see THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MARK). They stood watching while others came for repentance. John looked up and asked "Who has told you to flee from the wrath to come?" They stood,... Sign in to see full entry.

religious bias - not Christian

I heard over NPR recently that there is increasing violence and bias against Moslems. I think anyone who is an understanding, thoughtful, considerate, anc Christian person should be speaking out against this. We should all be more supportive of minority religions and those with whom we disagree.... Sign in to see full entry.

DISCERNING THE BODY OF CHRIST

We gotta think about this. First, we have to think in metaphor. Of course. There is no actual physical body. There is, however, if we really think about it, an admonition. First Corinthians talks about the body -- chapter 11 about the bread and wine, 12 about the functions of the members and their... Sign in to see full entry.

REPENT?

"reconsider and change" that's what Peter said when his audience asked him "What do we do?". This in the book of Acts. You don't recognize it? King James has it "Repent and be converted." Check out lexicons and you will find that "reconsider and change" is closer to the original. so what is... Sign in to see full entry.

ALL YOU NEED IS . . .

LOVE. That's all Christianity needs. It hasn't really followed Yeshua's lead. For Christianity to really succeed, it needs to, like individuals need to, treat other religions like Christianity would want to be treated -- with the same respect and reverence. We need to understand one thing. By... Sign in to see full entry.

IS THERE REALLY UNFORGIVABLE SIN? - YOU DECIDE

All Bible passages are from the King James Version (KJV)(Authorized) I Timothy 4:10 “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. I Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of... Sign in to see full entry.

CHRIST VS ANTICHRIST AND CHRIST VERSUS BEAST

I've attempted to describe "Christ". It's basically Salvation, meaning we are saved and sinless even before we sin. Antichrist is what people expect the Messiah to be: a great leader coming to lead "believers" to triumph over their "enemies". That has been the Jewish Messiah -- and there were quite... 2004 -- A YEAR OF WHAT?

Discovering the Christ within us is a personal thing -- it is a here and now and ongoing process. The Apostle Paul said "don't become entangled withe the affairs of this world." The process of working out our own salvation is what we put the armor on for -- this is developing the self to as mature a... Sign in to see full entry.

ALL ATHEISTS ASK IS FOR CHRISTIANS TO FOLLOW WHAT APOSTLE PAUL SAYS

which is "prove all things, hold fast to what is good." which really is the "scientific method". you can test spiritual things just like you can test whether water vapor condenses on the outside of a gladd of cold liquid. only thing is, the nature of people and of religion much of the time is such... BORN AGAIN -- JOHN 3

The subject of "born again' Comes from John 3 -- you've seen John 3:18 at numerous sports events. ONe interlinear says "born anew", probably a better wayof saying it. One must be "bornof the spirit." The operative word here is "spirit". The Greek word here is "pneuma". Derived from this is... Sign in to see full entry.
