who saves?
don't know if "Jesus saves" or not.
Being "born anew" is as much the individual's responsibility as it is anything.
The individual must recognize the new way.
Paul says "work out your own salvation"
It's a process -- change directions and move toward the new place on the map -- what the road will be ahead is anybody"s guess.
It's a pilgrimage toward the better self.

being born again
If it is Christ that does the saving, and not humans, then to be born again is an act of God, not men. I think the most honest understanding of the Bible would reveal that becoming a Christian has nothing to do with being saved.
