WHAT IS A GREAT-GRANDFATHER SUPPOSED TO BE?
Mine is dead. I’d have to check records in Hannibal, MO, to see exactly when he was born. He immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1842 during the Potato Famine there, was in St. Louis for the Dred Scot trial, moved to Hannibal at some point, the fought in the Civil War for the Union forces.
