A quick thank you...

to all of you who have been following this travelblogue and especially those who have been commenting. I don't always have access to the keyboard here, so there is not always time to thank each of you with individual responses, but I have been trying to keep up and I do appreciate every visit! Taps,... Sign in to see full entry.

Postcards!

We visited the Hindu temple in Chinatown today, took a few pictures ($3 for the priviledge of taking pictures inside the temple) and strolled a couple of streets of shops. Excellent place to acquire those souvenirs for friends and relatives without actually breaking the bank, but still finding... Sign in to see full entry.

Tapas by the Singapore River with Asian Mariachi band...

Deelicious bits of this and that--prawns and garlic, chicken in a creamy sauce, scallops on the shell, baked with saffron, calimari, chorizo sausage... It's a sort of all-appetizers cuisine. There is a bird park here, too, that... Sign in to see full entry.

ABANDON DUCK! ABANDON DUCK!

Don't leave the Duck unless you hear these words! If you feel unsafe at any time, feel free to pull down the life-jacket in the netting over your head... The captain's name was Ishmael; the driver's name was Joe. These two looked like products of the same era that produced the Duck itself, the... Sign in to see full entry.

10 hours to Narita, Japan... 7 more to Singapore

bathrooms for hobbits... cheap-carbs loaded food... "jane Eyre" and "Dream Girls" and gloomy classical music... puffy-feet... excellent and courteous personal service on Northwest Airlines starting with hottish, moist towelettes...
