Easter and Security Checks and Hospital visits

We did Easter on Saturday and celebrated Blake's birthday. Jax had a great time outside. He kept throwing the eggs. The lawnmower blew bubbles when rolled. He had a great time chasing the bubbles. To My Love

The sweetest smile, the bluest eyes and the sexiest hands. Your touch is electric, your kisses buckle my knees. Your understanding of all things; can read my heart before my thoughts float out. Selfless dedication to family beyond belief. So intelligent and poetically creative and eloquent; you are a renaissance man of the century. The love and adoration I feel for you cannot be expressed in words. It is a love from the heavenly plane that saturates our souls. Our love has always been, will... Sign in to see full entry.

Alone in My Bliss

A day to myself with no one to interrupt. It seems all things have come to an end. Our visitor has gone home with all her belongings. Facebook picture has been returned to a single shot instead of two. No questions have been asked but this may be the end of the relationship and I can only hope. It was nice to have my house back and time for me and Rick in the evening. Although he has worked 3 12 hour days alone in packing lifting hundreds of pounds of fabric. Our neighbor hired someone to put... Sign in to see full entry.

I Won the Dollar

Rick and I went to see his Mom yesterday. Before we left Rick had rinsed all the dishes and stacked them neatly on the counter. He asked C to wash the dishes for us. He explained that he had rinsed all the food off and stacked them neatly on the counter to make it easier for her. She told him in her sweetest voice that she did the dishes the same way. She brown noses Rick so much her name should be Fudge. I have seen her do the dishes before and she has never done them that way. Anyway we were... Sign in to see full entry.

Rusted Progression

Rusted Progression by skye01 The questions are how does one end up with rusted progression in their life and why would one want to languish in this state? Young, in good health, yet stymied in any movement toward independence, preferring to depend on parents like a small child. No ambition, no thought of the sacrifices made by parents who should at this time of their life be able to enjoy themselves with abandoned freedom for their wants, needs and life wishes. Instead the parents are still... Sign in to see full entry.

sacrifice

Sacrifice by skye01 Twenty one years of excuses, tolerance, patience and numbness; ended in a beat down. The stalking was a daily fear; never knowing if a bullet would come flying through a window. The worst fear of all was letting my children go for visits and never knowing if they would be brought back home. Then one day he needed help and we rallied around him to help all we could. Forgiveness came with forgetfulness of all the past. I had learned that unless we have unconditional love and... Sign in to see full entry.

A Poem About Age

Sixty Four by skye01 My birth certificate says sixty four. I'm not sure what that is to mean. My mind says I'm eighteen and my body says I'm a hundred. Age is a state of mind but my body cannot cash the checks that I think up. Cause in my mind I can do anything but my body can hardly move. So what does age mean. It is only as good as you feel when you get up - See more at: http://allpoetry.com/poem/11919591-Sixty-Four-by-skye01#sthash.bJbxoL1g.dpuf Sign in to see full entry.

Snowing Again and Again and Again

We were suppose to get 1-2 inches and so far we have 4. It is still snowing. Rick had just gotten the car up here on Sunday. He got out this morning for work but when he called back to let me know he had gotten to work ok, he said the roads were terrible. He said he slid into work. Rick walked up and down the hill all last week to get to the car parked at the bottom of the hill(mountain). Needless to say my Fibro is reeking havoc with pain and stiffness. I haven't been able to get out to the Dr... Sign in to see full entry.
