A New Year Already

Where to start? I have began the guiafenisen treatment since I had not been taking it as I had before. OMG I thought that my symptoms were bad before I restarted the guiafenisen. With this treamtment it helps the kidneys to excrete the phosphates. As the phosphates are pulled out of the tissues and tendons, you recycle your worst symptoms. I had forgotten how bad the pain could be. I managed to take the dose that made my symptoms the worst they had ever been for two weeks only. One is supposed... Sign in to see full entry.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving here at my and Rick's new (very old) house. Jax says hi. I wish I knew how to get these pics rotated. Anyway we had a great time and lots and lots of food. Mr. Jax clung to his pa and grandmama. He is growing so fast. I started counting with him in english and he switched to French. I taught him to count to 10 in Japanese. He still won't call me grannie but he will call me Sharon. Rick and I had to keep him overnight last Friday while Blake took Yvette to the ER for a... Sign in to see full entry.

Friday's at the Far Out Mansion

Friday’s at the Far Out Mansion Best to get there early and don’t forget some food and drink. It’s Friday again and time to celebrate. It’s hat week, Carmen Miranda’s birthday, toga, toga, toga. We all had another week taking care of 80 children at the local mental hospital and anything one could think of was the theme of celebration. The only difference between “US” and “THEM” was we carried the keys. Circa 1970’s and The Rocky Horror Picture Show so if you hadn’t had something too bad and was... Sign in to see full entry.

Trunk ot Treat

Try as I will I still can't get pics turned right. Meet Mr. Bacon. He was the hit of Trunk or Treat at our church. We also gave out, you guessed it, beanie babies. Two more tubs gone. Have been painting, painting and painting again. This time I did the hall way and ceilig. I painted our entrance door red and I made curtains for the laundry room and our office. Hopefully will be getting to close on my house next week. Still waiting on renters to sign sales contract. I have given the deal of the... Sign in to see full entry.

The Catching Up

It has been a traumatic year both physically and psychologically. My body is finally telling me so and is refusing to cooperate with my brain. My brain makes plans to organize this or that but my body refuses to go and the part of my brain that is used to organize has completly turned off. Having recognized all this, yes I am definitely in a Fibro flare. I finally have an appointment with the orthopedist next Monday for my left knee. However, I am a walking gold mine for him. Besides the left... Sign in to see full entry.

On Sunday September 27, As the choir sang ' I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, at the same time six years prior my husband Richard called to me: "Hurry honey I see the Light I have to go. Come Kiss me bye. I love you." Sunday would have been his 88th birthday. He had Alzheimer's, Parkinson's. Cancer and Congestive Heart Failure. He had said he would transition on his birthday. He lingered for two more days until he could be made sure I would be taken care of. He had seen i... nto heaven for... Sign in to see full entry.

Address Change

Hiphip hooray. We finally have the house. The final offer was accepted today. Out of limbo land and can finally start getting things together; like moving all my stuff from Hampton, painting the inside, and finally getting a decent bed and mattress. The yard sale was a success except for the Beanie Babies. We sold maybe 100 out of the thousand. One man drove up Thursday night and made an offer on all we had set out for Friday morning and drove away with it all. Friday it rained and people still... Sign in to see full entry.

Finally getting painting done and new curtains made and hung. Jax has graduated to a forward sitting car seat. The bathroom door. New paint and curtains for the bathroom. Jax's new car seat for Grannie's car. Now pick him up two days a week and bring him to my house. He loves chasing Daisy cat. The first thing he asks when he walks in the door is: "Where's Rick?" Jax is now 25 pounds and 34 inches tall, He is all legs. Can't get pictures to turn. Rick is adjusting and liking the changes. He has... Sign in to see full entry.

Tears Flow Again

had to make the appointment to have Miss Rosie put asleep tomorrow. The tumor on her breast is getting bigger and bleeding, she is skin and bones no matter how much she eats and she breaths funny when she sleeps. She also has a spinal tumor and it is getting harder for her to climb up on chairs and steps. I also think she is partially blind. Prayers for me, please. Sign in to see full entry.

Back again

My credit info was stolen so I had to get a new card and number. It has been a busy month. Cleaning and boxing and hauling to the Charity store clothes and kitchen items plus babysitting the Jax everyday while the other grandparents were visiting family and friends in Africa and France. The easiest part was being able to baby sit Jax at our new home in Elizabethton. It has been hard with part of my stuff in Hampton and part of my stuff here. Friday I finally got my recliner, computer desk and... Sign in to see full entry.

What's in Your Cabinet?

Well, after cleaning out the lower cabinet beside the sink, we found we have no wall in the back. We have only slats. Rick's sister came over and we took everything out. Everything was wrapped in plastice bags and enclosed with a clothes pin. Most, well, everything is nasty and going to the recycle center. Slowly we are getting everything packed and taken out or packed and ready for yard sale in cooler weather. Rick and I went to his home church this past Sunday for a special tribute to his Mom... A Poem For A Contest

This was entered in a contest to be displayed for colon cancer prevention: You Choose You were born with will of choice BUTT have learned by now some were good and others not. Do not be an ostrich and stick your head in the sand BUTT if you do as long as your rear is raised in the air why not have a doctor take a peek. I promise it doesn't hurt a bit. The prep, I will be truthful, is not a piece of cake BUTT afterwards you can eat all the cake you want. You have a choice bury your head and raise... Sign in to see full entry.
