The Wasting
The wasting was the longest and shortest eight months of our lives. The unrelenting push and pull of stark reality stared us in the face and we had to acknowledge with raw emotion it's presence. The wasting had not been experienced by our family until now. One hears of others who have been through this journey but never had to comprehend that it will happen to one of our own.
